The Pan-Afro Wisdom
(P.O.W.) Festival

A Lineage of Play, Rest, and Sanctuary

The Pan-Afro Wisdom Festival is an architected space of community, collaboration, and deep connection. Grounded in the spirit of several Pan-African festivals such as the 1969 Pan-African Festival of Algiers, we move with the conviction that “culture is in the service of liberation and unity.”

We bridge the gap between ancestral healing traditions and modern psychological perspectives, using music, art, and dance as active technologies for wellness. By merging community-led workshops with nostalgic play and games for adults, we demystify pre-colonial ways of living while centering the brilliance of Black and especially queer and trans individuals.

After four years and over 1200 people, P.O.W. Fest has served as more than a celebration; it is a vital regenerative hub. From showcasing local artists across the diaspora to providing mutual aid and mental health resources, we create portals of rest that defy the pace of the modern world. We don't just host festivals; we build the world we wish to inhabit.
